How big should my brewery be?
As a sales manager of beer equipment, I often hear the question from our customers: “How big should my brewery be?” “ How many square meters do I need for a brewery?” “How large of a facility should I get?”
Of course you need to consider a number of factors to determine the size of your brewery. For example:
1. Your wanted annual production capacity, it decided the size of your brew system
2. The business model plays a major role in deciding how many square meters you’ll need for your brewery. Obviously, the pub needs a big space.
So when I was asked this question, I often asked them some questions to determine if there was any place? What is the size? What is the expected output? What is the business model? As you know, the simple way to start a brewery is to choose a equipment based on the site or choose a site based on the configuration.
And also, there still are some people have no clear ideas on equipment and space. They are only doing preliminary assessments. It doesn't matter. I have a basic table showing the different spaces required for different capacity of brew system. Hope it can help you as well. Please check the table below.
