One of the most important decisions you have to make when brewing beer is what fermentation vessel you will use. So which fermenter is right for you? Most beginners will use a plastic bucket or carboy from a starter set. While these are great for starting your brewing journey, they may not suit your brewing for the long term.
Fermentation vessels are available in a variety of materials and forms, from plastic to stainless steel, and buckets to conicals. With so many possibilities, it can be hard to decide which is best for you and your setup.
First, materials of fermenter unitanks.
For a standard brewery, stainless steel is often used for beer fermentation tank, which is more economical effective.
Besides, some brewpubs, taproom, hotel, or restaurant will use red copper or mirror materials which is more beautiful and shinning to attract customers.
Second, the size fermenter.
Your fermenter should be at least twenty per cent larger than the quantity of beer you plan to brew. For example, for a 200 litre batch of beer, you need a fermenter with a capacity of at least 240 litres.
Tiantai beer fermenter has +25% head space to ensure enough fermenting space.
For example, 200L beer fermenter, 200L is working volume, 250L is total volume.
Usually if your brewhouse is 200L volume, we will equip 200L beer fermenter or double batches brewing with 400L fermentors.
How many liters of beer cylindrical conical tank you will use at brewery?
