Kettle/Whirlpool: The brew kettle is where the wort from the mash/lauter tun is boiled with hops to impart flavor, bitterness, and aroma to the beer.
After boiling, the wort is typically whirlpooled to settle out any solids before transferring to the fermenters.
The two-vessel brewhouse setups combine the brew kettle and whirlpool functions into this kettle/whirlpool vessel.
Hot Liquor Tank (HLT): This tank stores and heats water that is used throughout the brewing process, including mashing, sparging, and cleaning.
While not always necessary for a two-vessel system, an HLT can provide additional flexibility and efficiency by ensuring a readily available supply of hot water.

Control Panel: A control panel is used to monitor and control various aspects of the brewing process, such as temperature, flow rates, and timing. It typically includes switches, valves, temperature controllers, and other instrumentation to regulate the operation of pumps, heating elements, and other equipment.
Heat Source: Depending on the specific design and configuration, this two-vessel brewhouse may be heated using steam, direct fire, or electric heating elements.
The heat source is used to raise the temperature of the mash, boil the wort, and maintain the desired temperature during other stages of the brewing process.
