Based on the part of brewery equipment, what should I consider before expand my beer equipment?

We recently have received many clients’ Inquiry. Most of people who have operated brewery or microbrewery plan to expand their brewery equipment for business to meet more and more beer request before summer. However, before we expand our brewery equipment, what should we consider? Here, we would like to shre several parts you may interested.

1. Brewhouse unit
As we all know, brewhouse unit is the key of your brewery equipment. It is where the brewing process takes place, from mashing to boiling and wort cooling. So, before expanding your brewhouse, consider the capacity of your current system and if it is meet your production needs.
How many liters of beer equipment will be needed? And how many batches of beer will be brewed one day. These questions also should be consider carefully, before expand brewhouse. For example, if you plan to update one set of new 1000L brewhouse and brew 2 batches one day, 2 vessels or 3 vessels brewhouse unit with double batches hot liquor tank(2000L hot liquor tank) may be better solution. If based on 1000L 2 vessesl brewhouse unit(mash/lauter tun+kettle/whrilpool tun)+2000L hot liquor tank , after wort pumped into brew kettle, you can start next mashing process. A double batches hot water tank could support enough hot water for the sparging process, CIP or next brewing.

2. Fermenters
Adding several fermenters directly is relatively easy methods for expand brewery equipment. Before installing more fermentation tanks, it is necessary to confirm the current brewery space and the amount and the capacity of fermenters, and the fermenters control cabinet, glycol water pipelines, etc.
Generally speaking, the capacity of fermenters will be affected by the batches of beer you plan to brew. If you expect to brew two batches one day, the double-batches fermenters may be better choice for you. And the number of fermentation tank will be affected by the beer production you requested. And if you plan to install more than 6-8 sets of fermentation tank for expanding, a new fermentation control cabinet may be necessary.
3. Beer packing system
If you are planning to expand your brewery equipment, it is important to consider the entire beer packaging system. After expanding, original manual beer packing system may not fit for packing more beer. So, a semiauto or auto beer packing system may be necessary.
