What is the difference between the ICW-5 and the ICA-5M Chiller at brewery?

Glycol chiller is also very important beer equipment for a brewery to provide the cooling capacity for the whole microbrewery beer brewing system, as you know the beer fermentation tank, brite tank cooling, the hot wort cooling through Heat exchanger.

We have customer asked a question: What is the difference between the ICW-5 and the ICA-5M Chiller? Let’s learn it together.
1. Different refrigerated outlet temperature
ICA-5M is -5℃ Air cooled industrial chiller.
The outlet temperature is -5℃ based on the ambient temperature 35℃

ICW-5 is Water cooled industrial chiller.
Based on the cooling inlet 30℃, the outlet 35℃, the refrigerated outlet 7℃.

2.Different working principle
Air-cooled chiller is directly from the air to be mechanically circulated, the condensing coil of the machine, the direct expulsion of heat to the atmospheric air cooling, the source of heat transfer is gas, equipped with a special fan

Water cooled chiller is through the cooling tower and pump, to extract hot water for heat dissipation, so that the refrigeration process can be recycled, the source of heat transfer is water, equipped with a special cooling tower.

3.Different mobility
The air cooler can be moved, and the water cooled chiller needs a water tower and pool outside, so if you want to use the water cooled chiller, you need to provide the room, in the case that the building cannot provide the room, the air cooled chiller is more suitable.

Which kind of glycol chiller is at your microbrewery? We can provide you any model of Chiller. Tiantai beer equipment is a professional manufacturer of beer brewing system, it’s no problem for us to provide you a turnkey microbrewery project. Warmly welcome your proposal!
