To improve the utilization rate of brewhouse, it is to speed up the turnover of brewhouse to shorten the occupation time of them. Especially the longer time occupied equipment, such as boiling pot, filter tank, etc.,
1. shorten the time in the boiling tank
In most cases, the boiling tank takes the longest time in the brewhouse system, which occupies almost the same time as wort in the filter tank add wort boiling time.But its effective time is 90-120 minutes. Therefore,it is necessary for the mashing that keep the process of mashing in control,and try our best to shorten the time of boiling. In addition, if there are wort buff tank with preheat function will be useful, it can receive the first wort and the second wort of next batch, the time taken by the boiling tank can be Shortened to 160-190 minutes.Then the boiling can work 7.5-9 times per day.
2. Shorten the time of wort filtering
The time of wort in the filter tank is relatively long, and because there are many factors will affect wort filtering , sometimes, the filtering time can up to 4-5 hours with some uncontrolled difficulties , that will seriously affected the wort exchange between the brewhouse system. So we must be familiar with the factors that can affect the wort filtering ,and good at handling with the difficulties during wort filtering. If the time of the filter tank is less than 180 minutes, the filter tank can work 8 times per day. In addition, if we use wort filter, the filter time can be control at about 120 minutes, it can greatly improve the frequency of daily feeding.
3. Accelerate the exchange of the mashing tank and the brewhouse
The mashing tank and the brewhouse take a short time, it is usually less than 240 minutes, but if you want to increase the frequency of mashing to more than 8 times per day,you must take measures to further shorten the time of the mashing tank and the brewhouse. There are three specific methods:
A. Improve the temperature of feeding malt, the 65-70 Celsius degrees will be better, at the same time,you can use the bacteria amylase which can live with high temperature instead of wort supplementary ,it will heated the mash directly , by this ,the time of will be significantly shorten .
B. using a boiled saccharification method, rapid saccharification or leaching saccharification method, you can save much time of sub-mash, heating and boiling mash . Of course, this should be a higher quality malt, dissolved as a prerequisite
C. reduce the amount of supplements, or add protease, glucanase and gluco-amylase in a lower protein temperature of 45-48 degrees Celsius, the protein time and mashing time can be shortened.
In this way, it is will be possible that the wort can turnover 8-9 times per day betweent the mashing tank and the brewhouse to be .
