Pressured beer fermentation tank is becoming popular at brewery, especially for lager beer. The benefits for fermenting beer under pressure are:
1.Lower ester production;
2.Fermenting at higher temperatures without producing off-flavors;
3.Beer carbonated by the end of fermentation (rather than carbonating separately for over a week)
Usually the working pressure is 2bar for beer fermenter, some research suggests beer fermentation under pressure can reduce the amount of advanced alcohol in beer and avoid having a headache after drinking.
Spunging valve can regulate pressure from 2 psi to 32 psi. (0.2bar~2.2bar)
How to use the spunging valve? Let’s check the following picture:
Added sterile brewing water or 75% alcohol water inside of glass liquor vessel.
Please kindly note: It’s strictly forbidden to add alcohol, otherwise the glass cover will be broken.
The current scale is with 1.4 bar relief pressure.
On the top of scales, you can rotate it to adjust the relief pressure.
For the small ball, you can lift it manually to release the pressure, but please pay attention to safety.
