What are the reasons why the CIP pump does not turn at brewery？

Everything will be happened at your brewery when you brew craft beer. Brewery system is a professional beer making machine, have you ever had a pump suddenly stop working? Like brewhouse wort pump, glycol water pump, CIP pump etc. One of our customers has a questions on his CIP cleaning pump, let’s check it together.

The brewer has checked the motor, and it’s okay; he though pump is either jammed or NFG.

The common situation is as following:
1. Please turn the fan blade of pump
If it turns easily, the pump is not jammed.

2. Check the impeller
Open the head of pump to check the impeller to check whether there is something.
Sometimes, if the Alkali block isn’t dissolved well, it will crystallizes easily in the pump.
As you know, after crystallized, it is very strong like the stone.

3. The finally is control cabinet,
Check whether the wire is loose or connected incorrectly, the contactor(switch) is broken down.
