How to calculate the mixing temperature when we using the Decoction mashing

 
when you using the Decoction mashing, we should calculate a approximate heat balance on mixing mash, and adjust it according to actual situation.
 
Typically, we need to take a part of the mash for heating and boiling, then mix it with the rest. The mixing temperature needs to meet the certain requirements. How much mash should be taken out is related to the required temperature, it can be calculated as follows:
 
V= V1(T2-TI) / (T0-T1) *1.35
 
among them,
 
V= the mash should be taken out
V1= total mash
T1= Previous temperature
T2= the final temperature
T0= Boiling temperature, approximately 100
1.35 = Heat loss coefficient
